Riverwest 24

hour bike race

The race starts in
00 days, 00 hours, 00 minutes, and 00 seconds.

Every two hours a Bonus Checkpoint moves around the neighborhood.  12 undisclosed locations, 12 new challenges.  Will you get a haircut?  Tell a joke on stage at the comedy club?  Do a scavenger hunt?  Do a silly dance for our video archives?  Whatever it is, visiting Bonus Checkpoints add to your total score at the end of the race.

Each Bonus Checkpoint is organized by someone from the neighborhood showcasing businesses, projects, and groups that make up our community.  These people might be off the official race route, but their enthusiasm will give you the energy to complete the next few laps.  After hours and hours of circling Riverwest these side-projects will give you a much needed break.

For many, the bonus checkpoints are what made the race.  (Go check last years solo race results if you dont think you should stop to hula-hoop somewhere in the neighborhood.)  It may be the deciding factor between winners.

Also, just to keep things exciting, we don’t release the bonus checkpoints until the day of the race.

If you are interested in volunteering for a checkpoint or have an idea you would like to propose, please email: bonus@riverwest24.com
