Riverwest 24

hour bike race

The race starts in
00 days, 00 hours, 00 minutes, and 00 seconds.

A couple of things to keep in mind leading up to the race.  The race will be taking place in our neighborhood, where people live, children grow up, families laugh… a living, breathing community.  We welcome you.  Be respectful.

And a few logistical points:

The RW24 will provide:

  • Water bottle
  • Water
  • Sport Tea
  • Snacks
  • Dinner on Friday, Breakfast on Saturday

Items racers should consider:

  • Helmet (required!)
  • Bike lights (required at night!)
  • Extra food, water bottles, a willingness to share
  • Pit area supplies (bike tools, flashlight, fm radio, etc.)

*All teams should also consider having a pit area somewhere in the neighborhood.  Somewhere racers can take a nap, keep extra supplies, etc.  This can be done from your car / van / charter bus, however there will be no pitting near checkpoints, we need to keep these areas clear.  The pit need not be on the race route.

**Checkpoints are your friend.  They will punch your mainifest, offer water, LOADS of encouragement, some of them will even have toilets to use.  Questions on the route?  Lose your way?  Need your tires inflated?

Have a yard/garage to let racers use as a pit?  Coming from out of town and need a meeting place for your team?  Looking to urban camp in a backyard?  Let us know: community@riverwest24.com
