RW24 HQ is on the 2600 Block of North Pierce St. This is where all pre-race check-in, meetings, and ceremony will occur.
Friday Jul 24
12pm-5pm: Rider Check-In. All riders must sign the waiver, recieve wristbands/t-shirts, and get their manifests. Plan on arriving early so you can make a preliminary lap, check out the local block parties, or fill up on any of our fine local dining. Meet up with your fellow racers. Form alliances! Belittle your rivals! Show off that new bike helmet!
5:30pm: Rider meeting. All riders are requested to attend. We will go over important information for the race. Road hazards, route changes (none are expected), bonus checkpoints. Team Riders: Please make sure your entire team is present!
6:30pm: Opening Ceremony. Local politics and community bicycle racing come together in our opening ceremony. We were humbled last year to a speech by our 3rd district Alderman,Nik Kovac. Our emcee this year will be announced as we approach the race. Like the Star Spangled Banner is to baseball, we invite you to share this moment with us.
7:00pm: Race begins!
Saturday July 25
7:00pm: Race Ends
8:00pm: Awards Ceremony. We have many sponsors from our community who have graciously donated gifts and prizes for our winners. After the race results are tallied and the bonus laps have been calculated, will you stand proud as a winner?
